Today was one of those days that make me feel fresh and inspired, plus exhausted and grateful I don’t work full-time!!!  I salute you moms that can have a career and still be interested in your children!

I have a wonderful client that I’ve been working with for years.  We finally got around to doing her teenage girls rooms and some other window treatments in her home, and today was the install.

Anytime I have window treatments to install, there are always jitters, because there a many factors that can go wrong.  Today was no different…I failed to order four of the six finials that I needed for a couple of the window panels—sometimes they come in pairs, sometimes singles, but no matter my excuse, I was still a pair short!  That’s an easy fix, though…Christina, who owns the firm Tina Marie Interior Design, picked them up for me and I can take care of that with a tall ladder before the weekend is out!!!  For anyone out of the design loop—those are the decorative ends that go on the poles that window panels are hung on.

The great part of today’s install was the staging for the girls when they finally got to see their rooms.  In the pictures, I did all the sheers, the custom pillows, bedding, and staging of their existing furniture and accents that they had already.  It was important the sentimental effects were used so that these rooms reflected these girls’ lives as well as their personalities.  They had wonderful collages and collections of photo’s, boxes, and all other details that make them All American Teenage girls.

Let me know what you think!
